Good hygiene efforts urged

Secretary for Food & Health Dr Ko Wing-man has called on shop operators and the public to work together with the Government, and community bodies and organisations, to keep the environment clean.

He made the plea while inspecting environmental hygiene efforts in Sham Shui Po today under the Keep Clean 2015@Hong Kong: Our Home campaign.

He inspected a lane near Pei Ho Street Market to see the enhanced cleaning work by Food & Environmental Hygiene Department staff, including pest and rodent control measures.

He then inspected anti-mosquito work in a nearby lane.

He also urged people to remain vigilant in mosquito control to prevent local transmission of Dengue fever.
