For many years, people thought that they were healthy since they were not ill.

理想狀態(tài)下，一個人可以通過踐行健康的習(xí)慣、三餐營養(yǎng)均衡、每天鍛煉身體、不抽煙、不酗酒、保持樂觀的心態(tài)來保持健康。

However, many people are satisfied if they are not ill.

然而，很多人只要不生病就感到滿足了。

They still practice unhealthy life style.

Some people continue to practice unhealthy behavior even when they are ill.

甚至有些人在生病的狀態(tài)下還繼續(xù)不健康的生活方式。

For example, a person with high blood pressure does not take prescribed medicine and eats the wrong foods.

比如，有些高血壓病人不吃醫(yī)生給開的處方藥，還亂吃不應(yīng)該吃的食物。

Therefore, nursing care should include teaching the patients the principles of healthy life style.

因此，護理內(nèi)容應(yīng)該包括教給病人健康生活方式的準則。

Another definition of health is like this: if a person's basic needs are met, he is healthy.

健康的另外一個定義是：如果一個人的基本需求得以滿足，他就是健康的。

Needs are common to everyone and are necessary to the development of a happy life.

每個人都有需求，它是幸福生活的一個必要部分。

Nurses, because they are humans, have the same basic needs of anyone else.

護士同樣是人，也有和其他人一樣的基本需求。

They must recognize that some of their behavior is to satisfy their own needs rather than those of their patients.

他們必須認識到他們的一些行為是為了滿足自己的需求而不是病人的需求。

Maslow has classified the basic needs.

馬斯洛將基本需求進行了分類。

According to this theory, the first class of needs will dominate if they are not met.

根據(jù)他的理論，如果最低層的需求得不到滿足，它就會對人起主導(dǎo)作用。

When they are satisfied, needs of the next level appear and need to be satisfied and so on until the last need is reached.

當(dāng)這層需求得到滿足時，更高一層的需求就會出現(xiàn)，需要被滿足。以此類推，直到最高一層需求得到滿足。
