Objective:To explore the mediating effects of the coping styles between social support and psychological resilience in floating children.Methods:Totally 500 floating children(244 males and 229 females;284from primary school,189 from junior middle school;age ranged 10-17 years) in Shihezi City,Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were selected.They were assessed with the Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent(RSCA),Social Support Rate Scale(SSRS) and the Simplified Coping Style Questionnaire(SCSQ) to explore the relationship between psychological resilience and social support.The mediating effects of coping styles was analyzed.Results:The RSCA scores were positively correlated with the scores of SSRS and SCSQ(r = 0.38,0.42;Ps < 0.01).The coping styles had partial mediate effects between the social support and psychological resilience,and the ratio of the mediating effect to the total effect was 16.3%.Conclusion:The psychological resilience,social support and coping styles in floating children have a close relationship.Positive coping styles should be considered in improving floating childrens psychological resilience.
