摘要:Infertility is one of the common gynecological diseases,and the incidence has been on the rise in recent years,and according to WHO,infertility will become the third most serious disease after tumor and cardiovascular disease in the 21st century.Food therapy and medicine in China has a long history,Sun Simiao Valuable Prescriptions for emergencies:"If you can use food to calm the disease,release the emotions and dispel the disease,can be said to be good workers",which is also an important embodiment of the Chinese medicine"cure the disease"idea.With the improvement of the living standard of Chinese residents in recent years,food therapy and medicinal food have become popular as a new treatment method because of its efficacy and ease of acceptance.The author summarizes and summarizes the research results of Chinese medicine and medicinal food in the treatment of infertility in recent years in order to provide reference for clinical treatment of infertility.

摘要:Background:Ajowan,dill,moldavian balm and black cumin are annual medicinal plants,essential oil bearing that are cultivated in different parts of the world.Methods:A field experiment was conducted to assess the essential oil of ajowan,dill,moldavian balm and black cumin under salinity of 0.3,3,6 and 9 dS/m NaCl.Essential oils were obtained by using a Clevenger apparatus and their constituents were identified by GC and GC/MS.Results:Results showed that essential oil yield varied in tested plants under salt stress,but its changes did not follow a specific trend.Thymol was the most abundant constituent of ajowan seed essential oil,while thymol,γ-terpinene and p-cymene were the major constituents of the foliage essential oil of it.The most important component of dill seed essential oil was carvone and three main components of foliage essential oil were carvone,limonene andα-phellandrene.The essential oil component in moldavian balm mostly contained neral,geranial,geraniol,neryl acetate and geranyl acetate.The essential oil of black cumin was mainly composed of p-cymene under saline irrigation.Conclusion:The essential oil yield and compositions were affected by salt stress.The essential oil yield decreased because of decreasing dry biomass production.

摘要:Nutrition is one of the most important principles in Persian medicine,and Persian scholars have written various books and treatises on this subject.Atamat al-Marza by Hakim Roshan Zamir is one of these books.Hakim Roshan Zamir was a wise Persian scholar who lived in 12th-13th centuries AH(18th-19th centuries AD).He described the details of food-based treatment carefully in his book,Atamat al-Marza.This article tries to introduce this book and the role of foods in Persian medicine and represent recommendations and viewpoints of Hakim Roshan Zamir in this field.

摘要:Objective:This study aimed to explore the therapeutic effect of nuciferine on high-fat diet-induced obesity in rats and the influence of nuciferine on nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)/heme oxygenase-1(HO-1)signaling pathway in the adipose tissue.Methods:A total of 40 male Sprague Dawley(SD)rats were evenly divided into the normal,model,positive control,and nuciferine groups,using the random number table method.Except for the normal group,rats in the other groups were fed with high-fat diet for 12 weeks to establish the obesity model.During the model establishment,rats in the positive control group received atorvastatin calcium 2 mg/kg,rats in the nuciferine group received nuciferine 20 mg/kg,and rats in the normal and model groups received normal saline 2 mL,daily through intragastric administration for 12 consecutive weeks.After model establishment and administration,the body weight,Lee’s index,and blood lipids of rats in each group were measured,and hematoxylin and eosin(HE)staining was performed on the liver and adipose tissues to evaluate the therapeutic effect of nuciferine on obesity rat model.Additionally,the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px)in the serum of rats in each group were determined,and the gene expressions of Nrf2 and HO-1 in the adipose tissue of rats in each group were detected through quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)to investigate the mechanism of action of nuciferine in the treatment of obesity.Results:After 12 weeks of model establishment and administration,we observed that compared with the model group,nuciferine could significantly reduce the body weight,Lee’s index,and serum triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)levels and increase the serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)level in obesity rat model(P<0.05 or P<0.01).HE staining revealed that nuciferine could significantly alleviate liver steatosis in obesity rat model and improve the cell morphology in epididymal adipose tissue.Moreover,nuciferine could elevate serum SOD and GSH-Px activities in obesity rat model and lower the serum MDA level(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The qPCR indicated that nuciferine could upregulate the gene expression of Nrf2 and HO-1 in the adipose tissue of obesity rat model(P<0.05 or P<0.01).

摘要:The Double Ribbons campaign is a combination of the pink ribbon and the blue ribbon.China has launched the"Double Ribbon Campaign,"which includes free screening for both breast and cervical cancers.In this paper,by briefly describing the characteristics of breast cancer and cervical cancer,this paper summarizes the screening data of Changle County People's Hospital in Shandong Province in the past ten years,clarifies the importance of early screening,early diagnosis and early treatment of diseases,summarizes experience,defines goals,and promotes the long-term development of China's health cause.

摘要:Background:Vitamin A deficiency is the main problem of public health worldwide demonstrated that 190 million population of preschool children and 122 countries(in Africa and South-East Asia)have vitamin A deficiency,according to recent estimated research.In Afghanistan,vitamin A supplementation is a key strategy to prevent vitamin A deficiency among young children.Children receive vitamin A supplements as part of National Immunization Days(NID)campaigns.Methods:In this case study,the data was collected from June 15/2015 to February 23/2016,and the final report of the Afghanistan Demographic Health Survey(AfDHS)2015 was released on February 15/2017.All 27,209 children aged 6-59 months who are living with their mothers were included in this study.Who consumed foods rich in vitamin A was not included in this study.Results:The percentages who were given vitamin A supplements in the last 6 months among all children 6-59 months aged.A total of 1,572 children aged among 6-8 months were given vitamin A supplements 670(42.6%)children and comparison with the total community of the study(27,209)children(2.46%).A total of 1,148 children aged among 9-11 months were given vitamin A supplements to 465(40.5%)children and comparison with the total community of the study(27,209)children(1.70%).Conclusion:After following up on more studies,we found that vitamin A deficiency is a public problem,thus it is better to use wheat flour fortification,vitamin A capsule(VAC)supplementation,nutrition education,source of vitamin A,and training of primary healthcare workers on the clinical to prevent and treat the vitamin A deficiency among children.Therefore,we aimed to determine the given vitamin A supplementation among children aged 6-59 months in 33 provinces in Afghanistan,in 2015.

摘要:Background:Protein meals,Concentrate and Isolates are widely use as bioactive ingredients in functional food.In this study,the effect of toasting of Aduwa(Balanites aegyptiaca)seed on the phytochemicals,Anti nutrient,in vitro protein digestibility and functional properties of Aduwa Protein Meals,Protein Concentrate and Isolate were investigated.Methods:Aduwa seeds toasted at 70°C to make Aduwa protein meal(APM)yield extensive resolved biomaterials.The meal were resolved into DAPM,APC and API.Results:Phytochemicals analysis revealed reduction as APM sample is being resolved to protein concentrate and isolate.Similar trend was also observed in Anti-nutrients content significant reduction as material meal are resolved into protein concentrate and isolate.The in-vitro protein digestibility showed that APM(59.81%)and API(76.41%)had high percentage protein digestibility.Functional properties declined as meals materials were been resolved into protein concentrate and isolate.Swelling capacity revealed that resolved and unresolved samples leached biomolecules.Conclusion:The results obtained showed nutritional potential,and safety of biomaterials from Aduwa meals,an alternative food ingredient for protein supplementation.

摘要:The micronutrient compositions of stored cocoyam-based products were determined using gas chromatography and atomic absorption spectrophotometry.The dried cormels and dried cocoyam leaves were pulverized with a locally fabricated machine and stored in various plastic containers for 0,1,2,3 months.The data obtained were analyzed statistically using SPSS version 21.Means were separated at P≤0.05 using Fisher’s Least Significant Differences.The vitamin contents(mg/100g)of achicha were as follows:cocoindia had total carotene(1.84),B1(0.071),B2(0.044),B3(0.41),C(4.14)while edeofe had vitamin E(0.84)and total carotene(1.24),B1(0.021),B2(0.013),B3(0.18),C(2.47)and E(0.57)after storage.The vitamin contents(mg/100g)of mpoto were as follows:cocoindia had B1(0.53),B2(0.31),B3(1.75),C(18.46)and E(5.28)while edeofe had total carotene(3.44μg/100g)and B1(0.26),B2(0.14),B3(1.19),C(8.61)and E(2.46),and anampu had total carotene(2.56μg/100g)after storage.The mineral composition(mg/100g)of achicha are as follows:anampu had Ca(48.78),Na(18.52),Mg(10.18),Mn(0.17)and P(19.61),Fe(2.47),Zn(2.60),I2(51.71);edeofe had P(26.27),Fe(3.66),Zn(2.91),and Ca(40.53),Na(10.67),Mg(6.29),K(285.77),Mn(0.075);and cocoindia had K(405.87)and I2(69.34)after storage.The mineral compositions of mpoto(mg/100g)are as follows:anampu had Ca(157.57),Mg(95.84),K(485.52),P(45.52),I2(90.33)and Zn(2.61);edeofe had Fe(4.87),Zn(4.52),and Ca(152.29),Na(176.54),Mg(84.77),K(325.87),P(35.53),Mn(0.25),I2(65.29)and cocoindia had Mg(95.84),Mn(0.63)and Fe(3.61)after storage.Micronutrients of the products reduced significantly(P≤0.05)during storage.Fortified Colocasia products with micronutrients will meet the required recommended dietary intake.

摘要:Background:Beverage making is an effective method of product conversion of rhizomes and cereals particularly in the context of providing health/nutritional benefits.The Combination of Tiger nut and yellow maize to make a beverage drink would be promising.Therefore,Proximate,chemical,microbial and sensory qualities as influenced by blend variations was investigated.Methods:Tiger nut(Cyperus esculentus L.)and yellow maize(zea mays)were processed into fresh natural beverage drink.Tiger nut milk and malt extracted from malted yellow maize were blended at A(90%:10%),B(80%:20%),C(70%:30%),D(60%:40%)respectively and tiger nut milk(100%)was used as a control.Results:Proximate,chemical,microbial and sensory qualities revealed that protein,fiber,Titratable acidity ash and carbohydrate increased with increase in malt from yellow maize addition.Protein(2.20-6.34)%,Fibre(022-0.34)%,Ash(0.21-0.31)%,carbohydrate(2.21-13.58)%,Moisture(70.41-77.10)%,Fat(18.41-9.0)%values decreases with an increase in malted yellow maize addition.Result of the chemical analysis revealed that total solid(23.10-24.61),(2.81-5.91),Viscosity(68.01-92.01),pH(622-6.74)increased with increase in malted yellow maize addition while pH decrease with increase in malted yellow maize.Total viable count(8.0×10^(6)±7.1-1.0×10^(7)±7.1)and total fungi count(3.15×10^(6)±3.6-2×10^(3)±1.4)increased among sample A(100%Tiger nut milk:0%malted yellow maize)and E(60%Tiger nut milk:40%malted yellow maize),except sample B(90%Tiger nut milk:10%malted yellow maize)C(80%Tiger nut milk:20%malted yellow maize)and D(70%Tiger nut milk:30%malted yellow maize).Significant differences existed in sensory scores for flavor/aroma(7-5),texture(5-7),taste(4-7)and general acceptability of the products(5-8).Conclusion:Beverage drinks prepared from tiger nut milk and malted yellow maize can be used as a beverage food for both young and older persons due to the products high nutrient density.

摘要:Background L-Carnitine(LC)is an endogenous molecule which is biosynthesized from L-lysine and L-methionine and involved in fatty acid metabolism.LC can be found in foods,but it is especially abundant in beef,lamb,fish,poultry and milk.LC transports the chains of fatty acids into the mitochondrial matrix,thus allowing the cells to break down fat and get energy from the stored fat reserves[1].Carnitine is a conditionally essential nutrient.It is a vital factor for energy production and fatty acid metabolism.Carnitine deficiencies can be associated with genetic mutations of carnitine transporters or chronic diseases(liver and kidney disease).Aberrations of carnitine regulation with subsequent carnitine deficiency is associated with diabetes mellitus,sepsis,cardiomyopathy,protein-energy malnutrition,cirrhosis,various endocrine disorders and with aging.It has been found that nutritional supplementation of LC might be helpful for uremic patients,as a complementary therapy for neuropathic pain,or in diabetic patients.Still,it is a life-saving therapy in primary carnitine deficiency.LC supplementation(LCS)is also investigated in Alzheimer's disease and hepatic encephalopathy.It has been observed that topical application of LC in dry eye syndrome is osmoprotective and it also modulates immune and inflammatory responses.There is some evidence in the available scientific literature supporting that LCS may be beneficial in cardiovascular diseases and obesity.There is also some evidence showing the association improved glucose intolerance and total energy expenditure[2].

摘要:The use of natural antibacterial compounds in tcontroling and eliminating pathogenic microorganisms including bacteria and fungi has been extensively evaluated.Plant extracts have been studied in the past years as antibacterial agents in medicine,plant pathology,and canned food,and unlike antibiotics,they do not cause drug resistance in pathogens.BHA(Beta-hydroxy acid)is a synthetic antioxidant with good fat solubility.Most of the extracted materials have antifungal,antiviral,and antibacterial properties.Different mechanisms of these act on bacteria and prevent their growth and multiplying.Many plants’extraction has phenolic active groups in their structures.Due to the importance and antimicrobial effects of essential oil and basil extract,the present study was performed to investigate the effect of different concentrations of basil extract on the growth of two bacterial pathogens Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.Also,the chemical composition of this plant extract and its antioxidant properties have been studied.The results of this study showed that basil extract,especially in 100 and 70%concentration,had antibacterial properties against Staphylococcus aureus but it does not show sufficient antimicrobial effect against Escherichia coli in the same dose.Analysis of chemical compounds in the extraction of this plant showed a total of 15 chemical compounds,most of which are related to the compounds neofitidine with concentration(41.44%),dimethylamino pentane with concentration(14.81%)and cyclohexane with concentration(91.9%).We also compared the antioxidant properties of basil extract with BHA and showed a significant difference in comparison with the inhibition of DPPH(2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl)formation by the extract and the standard BHA,so that the inhibition of DPPH by the standard BHA sample was significantly higher than the BHA.But basil extract showed good antioxidant properties equivalent to 400 mg/mL in 800 mg/mL BHA.

摘要:Immunonutrition is an interdisciplinary field of research that unites knowledge and skills related to clinical nutrition,clinical immunology,infections and inflammation,injury and tissue damage[1].Immunonutrients are glutamine,arginine,taurine,leucine,cysteine,nucleotides,omega 3-polyunsatturated fatty acids(PUFA),vitamins and trace elements.Glutamine and omega 3 PUFA can modulate immune function towards a more balanced immune response,whilst vitamins and trace elements form an antioxidant defense system that protects the body and tissues from deleterious effects of free radicals in oxidative stress[2].Immunonutritionists also study the importance of gut microbiota,because of its bilateral connections to both the nervous and immune system[1].The importance and clinical relevance of immunonutrition is being studied widely in medicine,including in oncology,endocrinology,rheumatology,clinical immunology and allergology.Here,author summarizes available scientific literature on the importance of immunonutrition and its clinical relevance.

摘要:Medicinal plants apply become a popular cure between patients with various diseases world.Aim of this review study of investigating of therapeutic effects of Galium verum.In the current review study,PubMed,Scopus,and Google Scholar were searched to provide information have shown the therapeutic effects of G.verum.This plant,is famous,as yellow Bedstraw.G.verum plant belongs to the Rubiaceae family.Analysis of G.verum plant represents that the plant included,chemical therapeutic compounds.Many compounds have been isolated from the Galium species plant so far.G.verum.Plants have been traditionally applied for the cure of many maladies.The former pharmacological researches represented that the G.verum plant possessed antioxidant effect,effects on the central nervous system,antimicrobial effects,endocrine effect,antihaemolytic activity,cytotoxic effects,etc.

摘要:Exposure to sunlight must be very well balanced because on the one hand,it is essential for the production of vitamin D,but on the other hand,it can be very harmful to the skin(increased risk for skin carcinogenesis and accelerated photoaging).Exposure to ultraviolet B radiation is a significant determinant of vitamin D status.During exposure to sunlight,the solar UVB photons(290-315 nm)are absorbed by 7-dehydrocholesterol in the skin and converted to previtamin D(3),which then undergoes a rapid transformation within the plasma membrane to vitamin D(3).During the winter at latitudes above circa 35 degrees,there is a minimal previtamin D(3)production in the skin[1].Because of that,the prophylactic intake of vitamin D as a pharmacological preparation during the winter at latitudes above 35 degrees is beneficial.Vitamin D status is not only determined by exposure to UVB and limited sources in food,but small effects of polymorphisms in the genes for key proteins involved in vitamin D production and metabolism are also present.The half-life of 25(OH)D is affected by calcium intake.Fat tissue has a function as a reservoir for the parent vitamin D,which is released during the reductions in adiposity.Skeletal muscle might also be an important site of 25(OH)D sequestration,protecting this metabolite from degradation by the liver,because of what exercise is usually associated with better vitamin D status[2].

摘要:Anxiety is the most common disorder nowadays.Anxiety can be acute or can be chronic.There are several scientific evidences that prove nutrition’s importance and role of different therapies in the treatment of anxiety.But very few people are familiar with the role of taking proper nutrition or a balanced diet in anxiety treatment.This article helps many people to know deeply about the therapies they can do at their home and the nutrition and food for healthy lives and controlling the mental disorder.This scoping review also helps to under the anxiety,symptoms,causes,prevalence in patient and how it should be treated with or without the use of medication.Long-term analysis of previous studies show more than 60,000 results with the use of Artificial intelligence which are totally different.So brief literature was studied and found that nutrition plays definitely a major role in treatment.Literature survey revealed the relation between a large intake of fruits,vegetables,omega 3,fatty acids,a ketogenic diet,calorie,magnesium,zinc,selenium,probiotics with low level of anxiety.Paper also revealed the association between higher anxiety levels with high intake of fat diet,sugar intake,carbohydrate,oily food.This paper helps you to understand the value of each therapy and nutrition for successive decreasing anxiety.This paper has main aim to describe the prevalence,causes,symptoms of anxiety so that it can help people to understand that what kind of anxiety is there which they are suffering from and what ways can be done to treat it naturally with the help of huge beneficial therapies,nutritional food,exercises and marketed medicines with advantages and disadvantages and by adding some herbal plants in their diet.

摘要:Some metal elements,especially trace elements,have obvious nutritional and physiological functions on the human body,which can promote the growth and development of the body,regulate the function of the body and maintain the metabolism of the human body.Compared with the elements in the form of inorganic salts,metal chelating peptides are more easily absorbed by the human body.Metal chelating peptides efficiently provide various trace elements necessary for life activities,have antioxidant,antibacterial and other biological activities,and have broad application prospects in food,medicine,cosmetics and other fields.In this paper,the methods of preparation,separation and purification of metal chelating peptides from animals and plants were reviewed,the structure-activity relationship and antioxidant activity of metal chelating peptides were analyzed,and the development prospect of metal chelating peptides was prospected.

摘要:Objective:Jaggery is a natural sweetener prepared by hand in limited facilities from concentrated sugar cane juice.Jaggery is regarded as a therapeutic sugar in Indian Ayurvedic medicine for the treatment of lung and throat diseases.Studies conducted in vivo revealed that a jaggery-based dietary supplement has positive health effects.The awareness among the general public regarding the functional food products has been catching up fast.Consumers are opting more for functional food products due to higher health consciousness.Higher the demand,higher the supply of new varieties of functional food.Thus giving scope to develop new products with highly nutritive value.Method:The goal of the current study was to examine the physical and chemical characteristics of jaggery made from the sugarcane varieties Co 86032,Co 419,and Co 62175.With varied traits including yield,sucrose content,disease resistance,and salt tolerance,these sugarcane varieties have dominated the peninsular India.The physical and chemical characteristics of jaggery prepared experimentally from three distinct sugarcane varieties(Co 86032,Co 419,and Co 62175)were determined in the study.Moisture,water activity(aw),ash,minerals,reducing sugars,sucrose,pH,colour,insoluble solids(IS),transmittance at 720 nm,and filterability were the variables that were assessed.Additionally,measurements of the flavonoid and total phenolic contents were performed.Water activity(aw),reducing sugars,pH,colour,moisture,and water activity(aw)were the variables with the most variability.Result:Sample Co 62175 had the highest observed total sugar,whereas sample Co 419 had the lowest.In accordance with the findings of the current experiment,sugarcane variety Co 62175 produced the best jaggery when compared to sugarcane variants Co 419 and Co 86032.Conclusion:There is higher potential to develop functional food which can enhance the qualitative and quantitative factors.Hence the study was undertaken with the objective of development,nutritional characteristics and consumer acceptability of jaggery.

摘要:Background:The patients with Langya henipavirus(LayV)infection are managed mainly with symptomatic treatment and supportive care.Objective:This review article focuses on the beneficial effects of black seeds(Nigella sativa)in the management of Langya henipavirus(LayV)infection.Methods:The literature was searched in online databases,including Medline/Pubmed/PMC,Google Scholar,Science Direct,Ebsco,Scopus,Web of Science,Embase,and reference lists,to identify published studies,which established beneficial effects of black seeds(N.sativa)related to signs and symptoms of LayV infection.Results:Black seeds(N.sativa)have shown potential antiviral,bronchodilatory,antihistaminic,antitussive,hepatoprotective,renoprotective,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,and immunomodulatory properties in various clinical,animal,in-vitro,in-vivo,and in-silico studies,which would help the patients with LayV infection.Conclusion:N.sativa would be a potential herbal candidate in the management of LayV infection along with symptomatic treatment and supportive care,to prevent further deterioration,and hospitalization.The safety and efficacy of N.sativa in patients with LayV infection would further be established by future randomized controlled clinical trials.

摘要:Dubbed SARS for its severity,the Acute Respiratory Syndrome Named after the 2019 new coronavirus(COVID-19),coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is a fast-spreading viral illness that emerged in late 2019 in Wuhan City,Hubei Province,China[1].There are 207 million persons infected with coronavirus globally as of August 16,2021,with 4.36 million dying as a result.A total of 97,828 Iranians have perished due to the coronavirus outbreak.The health community noted the rapid development of the coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak and its high fatality,as cited in Darand et al.[2].Consuming dairy products as part of a balanced diet has improved immunity and reduced the risk of contracting infectious diseases.The relationships between dairy product intake and COVID-19 incidence are thoroughly explored in research published in the"European journal of clinical nutrition"by Darand et al.[2].

摘要:Gut microbiota is a large number of microorganisms closely related to human and animal health.The changes in the microbiota under different conditions directly reflect the health status of the host.As the main factor affecting the microbiota,the daily diet has attracted increasingly attention.Related studies have shown that in addition to the main endogenous components in food that interfere with the gut microbiota of human and other animals,other types of exogenous substances(e.g.,food additives,food condiments,and harmful chemicals produced in various food processing)can also cause changes in the gut microbiota.This paper systematically summarizes the recent advances in the effects of the exogenous substances,i.e.,food additives,food condiments,and food processing by-products,on gut microbiota.We further reviewed the changes of gut microbiota under the dietary intervention and the dietary habit adjustment from the perspective of weight loss,emphasizing the importance of a healthy diet and the weight loss method of balanced nutrition.Our study provided significant guidance for the investigation of gut microbiota in the field of a daily diet.

摘要:Background:Raphia fruit pulp is a good source of phytochemicals and some micronutrients and is locally consumed as a snack.The aim of this study was to valorize raphia pulp in biscuits production by partially substituting wheat flour in different proportions with flour obtained from the pulp of the raphia fruit.Methods:Ripe raphia(Raphia hookeri)fruits were purchased from local farms,thoroughly washed and the pulps extracted using a stainless-steel knife.These pulps were dried at 60℃for 12 h and grounded into flour.Wheat flour was substituted with the raphia pulp flour(RF)in five different proportions(10,20,30,35,and 40%).The functional properties and nutrient profile of the raphia flour and the biscuits obtained from these composite flours were evaluated.Sensory evaluation of the biscuits was also carried out using a nine-point hedonic scale.Results:The RF has a high-water absorption capacity WAC(680%)and oil absorption capacity OAC(560%)favoring its use in pastry processes.The RF is rich in polyphenols 435.0±20(μg/100g),saponins(155±5 mg/100g)and potassium(922±20 mg/100g).The incorporation of the RF in biscuits significantly affect the chemical composition.The total polyphenols increased from 182±10μg/100g in the sample containing 10%of RF to 342±17μg/100g in the sample containing 40%of RF.Fibers increased from 8.75±0.03 mg/100g in the sample with 10%of RF to 10.08±0.27 mg/100g in the 40%substituted biscuit.Saponins increased from 69.9±0.01 mg/100g in the sample with 10%of RF to 90.22±0.01 mg/100g in the sample with 40%RF and potassium increased from 434.2±10 mg/100g in the sample with 10%of RF to 647.6±5 mg/100g in the sample with 40%of RF.Biscuit samples made with composite flour containing 20%of RF was the most accepted.Conclusion:RF can be used as a raw material to replace 20%of wheat flour in biscuit formulations and improve its nutritional and sensory properties.

摘要:Saffron(Crocus sativus)is a perennial herb that is primarily found in the Mediterranean region of Europe,western Asia,and the Kashmir region of India.The dried stigmas of the plant have been utilized as a spice,flavoring,and dyeing agent for over a millennium.The main constitutes of saffron stigma responsible for major pharmacological effects are considered to be carotenoids(crocins,crocetins)and monoterpenes(picrocrocin,safranal).

摘要:This work aimed to evaluate the quality of biscuits incorporated with ginseng powder.This powder was incorporated into wheat flour at levels ranging from 0 to 4%and used in the production of biscuits.The biscuits were analysed for proximate composition,sensory attributes,phytochemical content,and antioxidant properties.Results revealed that the moisture and fat contents of the biscuits significantly decreased with the incorporation of ginseng powder.Conversely,protein(3.15 to 4.55 g/100 g DM),carbohydrate(27.80 to 31.10 g/100 g DM)and fiber contents(6.21 to 13.74 g/100 g DM)significantly increased with incorporation.The total polyphenols,saponins,and total flavonoid contents increased from 1.67 to 1.99 mgGAE/100 g DM,0 to 0.69 mg,and 0.87 to 1.83 QE/100g DM respectively.Ginseng powder also significantly increased the DPPH scavenging activity,from 42.05%to 52.62%,and FRAP value from 2.25 to 7.71μgGAE/g with increased incorporation.However,the sensory attributes of the biscuits were not affected by the incorporation of ginseng.Ginseng powder can therefore be incorporated in wheat flour at up to 4%level for biscuits production as a functional food for the promotion of human health.

摘要:A healthy balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle are very closely linked.Whichever the biological link is,it is overwhelming to understand.Modifications in how food is served,divided up,and supervised,such as the introduction of nutritional hygiene standards,food handling practices,and the entry of macro and micronutrients,have had a big impact on human health in the last few decades.Growing evidence indicates that our gut microbiota may affect our health in ways that are at least in part influenced by our diet and the ingredients used in the preparation of our food and drinks,as well as other factors.As a new problem,this one is getting a lot of attention,but it would be hard to figure out how the gut microbiota and nutrition molecules work together and how they work in certain situations.Genetic analysis,metagenomic characterization,configuration analysis of foodstuffs,and the shift to digital health information have provided massive amounts of data that might be useful in tackling this problem.Machine learning and deep learning methods will be employed extensively as part of this research in order to blend complicated data frames and extract crucial information that will be capable of exposing and grasping the incredibly delicate links that prevail between diet,gut microbiome,and overall wellbeing.Nutrition,well-being,and gut microorganisms are a few subjects covered in this field.It takes into account not only databases and high-speed technology,but also virtual machine problem-solving skills,intangible assets,and laws.This is how it works:Computer vision,data mining,and analytics are all discussed extensively in this study piece.We also point out limitations in existing methodologies and new situations that discovered in the context of current scientific knowledge in the decades to come.We also provide background on"bioinformatics"algorithms;recent developments may seem to herald a revolution in clinical research,pushing traditional techniques to the sidelines.Furthermore,their true potential rests in their ability to work in conjunction with,rather than as a substitute for,traditional research hypotheses and procedures.When new metadata propositions are made by focusing on easily understandable frameworks,they will always need to be rigorously validated and brought into question.Because of the huge datasets available,assumption analysis may be used to complement rather than a substitute for more conventional concept-driven scientific investigation.It is only by employing all of us that we will all increase the quality of evidence-based practice.

摘要:The effect of incorporation of defatted flour from seeds of sweet orange on wheat flour bread quality was investigated.Seeds were removed from the fruits of sweet orange,sun dried,milled and defatted with ethanol.The defatted orange seed flour was incorporated into wheat flour at 5,10,and 15%.The chemical composition and physicochemical properties of the composite flours were assessed.The composite flours were used to prepare breads and the nutrients composition,antioxidant,physical and sensory qualities of the breads were determined.The water absorption,oil absorption,emulsifying and swelling capacities increased while foaming capacity and bulk density decreased with the addition of the defatted seed flour in the blends.The addition of defatted seed flour increased significantly(P<0.05)the ash(1.98%–3.05%),crude fiber(1.26%–2.98%)and carbohydrate(47.78%–55.90%)contents but decreased the moisture(23.59%–20.37%),crude fat(12.43%–8.98%)and protein(12.96%–8.72%)contents of the breads.The calcium,sodium,iron and zinc contents improved but phosphorus and potassium levels decreased with the incorporation of the defatted seed flour.The phenols,flavonoids,alkaloids,saponins,and carotenoids contents varied from 85.03–18.59 mg/100g,3.11–7.83 mg/100g,7.30–12.06 mg/100g,1.87–2.06 mg/100g,and 5.46–15.84 mg/100g,respectively.The loaf volume,specific volume and oven spring of breads decreased while loaf weight increased with the incorporation of defatted flour.The antioxidant activities of breads containing 15%defatted seed flour increased over that the 100%wheat bread.The ratings for the sensory attributes decreased with the addition of defatted seed flour in the breads.However,the ratings for the sensory qualities of breads containing 5 and 10%defatted seed flours did not differ significantly(P<0.05)from those of the 100%wheat bread.It is concluded that defatted flour from seeds of sweet orange fruits could be used to substitute 10%wheat flour in bread without adversely affecting the qualities of the breads.

摘要:The present study aimed to evaluate the hygiene practices and the quality of meat sold in butcheries in the city of Nampula,Mozambique.Of the twelve butcheries in the city,only seven participated in the study,which was divided into four categories:hygienic conditions of buildings and facilities,equipment,furniture and utensils,good handling practices for handlers,and microbiological quality of meat products.Results showed that most of the butcheries(71%)had poor hygiene conditions,such as walls with cracks and holes and lack of washbasins in the production area.In addition,the majority(71%)of butcheries used a reusable dirty cloth to clean equipment and utensils,and only 43%had a cold room or refrigerated chamber for meat conservation.Regarding personal hygiene,100%of the handlers washed and changed their clothes daily,but 71%did not properly wash their hands before handling food.Microbiological analysis revealed that 86%of the cutting tables swabs and 43%of the hand blades had E.coli counts above 4 Log,and the presence of Salmonella was observed in 71%of meat samples.Overall,the study highlights the need for improvement in hygiene practices and the quality of meat sold in butcheries in Nampula.

摘要:The incidence rate of breast cancer is the second highest of all cancers.Alterations to one's epigenome are among the most critical factors in breast cancer control.In breast cancer,nutrients can influence epigenetic pathways and homocysteine(Hcy)levels.Hcy has been related to cognitive decline,Alzheimer's disease,and cancer.Similar to how altered Hcy metabolism is strongly influenced by genetic,epigenetic,and environmental factors,it is significantly linked to cancer.This review aims to discuss the relationship between the levels of Hcy in breast cancer and the effects of nutrients on epigenetic processes.Dietary interventions have the ability to control epigenetic processes,and the Hcy levels are associated with both epigenetic mechanisms and nutritional supplements in breast cancer.Certain nutrients have been discovered to have an impact on these processes.Altered Hcy metabolism is influenced by genetic,epigenetic,and environmental factors and has a substantial link to the emergence of cancer.Nutrients,such as folic acid,vitamin B12 and many phytonutrients that have been found to affect the epigenetic processes in breast cancer may alter DNA methylation and histone modification,which in turn may affect how cancer cells behave.The review emphasizes the need for additional studies to fully comprehend nutrition's potential for the epigenetic mechanism and the relation between Hcy metabolism in breast cancer.

摘要:Background:In the management of patients with MARV infection,this review article focuses on the potential protective effects of black seeds(Nigella sativa).Methods:To find studies that evaluated various effects of black seeds(N.sativa)related to signs and symptoms of MARV infection,reference lists and databases such as Medline/Pubmed/PMC,Google Scholar,Science Direct,Ebsco,Scopus,Web of Science,and Embase were searched.Results:In numerous clinical,animal,in-vitro,in-vivo,and in-ovo studies,black seeds(N.sativa)have demonstrated potential antiviral,anti-inflammatory,antioxidant,immunomodulatory,and hepatoprotective properties that may aid in the treatment of MARV-infected patients.Conclusion:In the initial generalization phase of MARV infection,patients may use black seeds(N.sativa)as an adjunctive therapy in addition to symptomatic treatment and supportive care.Future randomized controlled clinical trials would confirm N.sativa’s efficacy and safety in MARV-infected patients.

摘要:Intermittent fasting is a kind of diet that extends the fasting time every day or several days per week.It mainly includes time-limited eating,alternate day fasting and periodic fasting.Intermittent fasting triggers evolutionary indications and conserved cellular responses to protect and improve body status by triggering a"metabolic switch"from hepatogenic glucose to adipocyte-derived ketone bodies.Gut microbiota and circadian rhythms have also been linked to intermittent fasting.This article focuses on the research progress of intermittent fasting and neurodegenerative diseases in order to provide a theoretical basis for nutritional treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

摘要:Although low calorie sweeteners are commonly known to be associated with weight management,an emerging body of evidence suggests that these substances also possess prebiotic properties.The category includes sweeteners like tagatose,xylitol,erythritol etc.Prebiotics are non-digestible or partially digestible food ingredients that beneficially affect the host(consumer)by selectively stimulating the growth and/or activity of one or more of a limited number of bacteria in the colon,and thus improve host health[1-3].Prebiotics are not digested by human enzymes and therefore have a low caloric value and are efficiently used in low calorie(energy)foods.Because of their non-digestibility prebiotics show fiber-like properties,mainly stool bulking.
